Coffee squonk mod IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Coffee in San José: 24 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
We run coffee the same way in San José: same squonk mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Coffee squonk mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long coffee tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a coffee squonk mod really costs in San José
Coffee in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested coffee in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised ₡56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.86 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
