Coconut RDA IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Coconut in San José: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, RDA formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What coconut costs in San José
We run coconut the same way in San José: same RDA, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Coconut sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The short version: coconut in San José works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a coconut RDA really costs in San José
Coconut in a RDA is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested coconut in a RDA
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every coconut bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a coconut bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a RDA arrives sealed but wrong.
Where coconut goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coconut tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡33 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.23 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
| What it is | This page | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Flavour | Coconut | Decides coil choice more than strength does |
| Format | RDA | Sets how much liquid you are actually buying |
| Stock checked | 16 lines | Batch-traced, dated production runs only |
| Nicotine ceiling | varies | Legal retail limit in Costa Rica |
| Coil life | ~4 days | The hidden monthly cost |
| Delivery to Costa Rica | 4–9 business days | Buffer the reorder around this |
| Entry kit | ₡33 | What a first order really pays |
| Refill cost | ₡3.23 / 10 ml | The figure that decides the habit |

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does coconut taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the RDA units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the coconut blend itself harsh.
How long does coconut in a RDA last?
In San José we measured 7 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
