Mango vape pen IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Mango in San José: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Mango is allowed to say
Mango in San José reaches the shelf in vape pen formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
A mango vape pen from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.96 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: mango in San José works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mango vape pen really costs in San José
We run mango the same way in San José: same vape pen, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested mango in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every mango bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where mango goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡32 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.96 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mango tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On mango the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡1.96 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does mango taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the mango blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
