Citrus squonk mod IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Citrus in San José: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a squonk mod for citrus
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on citrus: 14 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 14 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a citrus squonk mod really costs in San José
We run citrus the same way in San José: same squonk mod, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested citrus in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Mixing citrus with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
