Citrus prefilled pod IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Citrus in San José: 8 units tested over 3 weeks, prefilled pod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Citrus prefilled pod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a prefilled pod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Below is the run we did for this search: 8 units, prefilled pod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a citrus prefilled pod really costs in San José
Citrus in a prefilled pod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested citrus in a prefilled pod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the prefilled pod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the prefilled pod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a prefilled pod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡50 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.52 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
