Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
We run citrus the same way in San José: same box mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
We run citrus the same way in San José: same box mod, same 6 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus box mod really costs in San José
Citrus in San José reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested citrus in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.54 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On citrus the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.54 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How long does citrus in a box mod last?
In San José we measured 6 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
