Citrus box mod IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Citrus in San José: 6 units tested over 5 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run citrus the same way in San José: same box mod, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus box mod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested citrus in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.59 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why citrus tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
