Citrus 10 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Citrus in San José: 8 units tested over 9 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
Citrus 10 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 8 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the 10 ml bottle you buy decides how long citrus tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a citrus 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
If you are looking at citrus in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 10 ml bottle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested citrus in a 10 ml bottle
- Pick the 10 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for 10 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest 10 ml bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised ₡36 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.7 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for citrus in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does citrus in a 10 ml bottle last?
In San José we measured 9 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is citrus legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
