Cherry mesh tank IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Cherry in San José: 7 units tested over 2 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good mesh tank from a repack
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Cherry in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long cherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a cherry mesh tank really costs in San José
If you are looking at cherry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the mesh tank you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested cherry in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where cherry goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long cherry in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡42 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.56 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for cherry in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
