Caramel squonk mod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Caramel in San José: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Caramel is allowed to say
Caramel sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
We run caramel the same way in San José: same squonk mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 9 units, squonk mod, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a caramel squonk mod really costs in San José
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.97 per 10 ml.
How we tested caramel in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every caramel bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
