Caramel e-liquid bundle IQOS in San José: the compare shortlist
Caramel in San José: 24 units tested over 4 weeks, e-liquid bundle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good e-liquid bundle from a repack
Caramel prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.65 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at caramel in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the e-liquid bundle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the e-liquid bundle you buy decides how long caramel tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a caramel e-liquid bundle really costs in San José
If you are looking at caramel in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the e-liquid bundle you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested caramel in a e-liquid bundle
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the e-liquid bundle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the e-liquid bundle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a caramel bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a e-liquid bundle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
