Candy refill pack IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Candy in San José: 24 units tested over 8 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a refill pack for candy
Candy sounds like one product. It is not: a refill pack running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Candy refill pack reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, refill pack, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a candy refill pack really costs in San José
We run candy the same way in San José: same refill pack, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested candy in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the refill pack that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where candy goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing candy with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On candy the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.32 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
How long does candy in a refill pack last?
In San José we measured 8 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
