Candy cartomizer IQOS in San José: the deals shortlist
Candy in San José: 15 units tested over 8 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
A candy cartomizer from the discounted options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.0 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the cartomizer you buy decides how long candy tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a candy cartomizer really costs in San José
Candy in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested candy in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where candy goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡40 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.0 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for candy in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On candy the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.0 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
