What the label on Candy is allowed to say
Candy in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The honest read on candy: 12 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a candy 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested candy in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every candy bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where candy goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Treating the advertised ₡54 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.31 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for candy in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does candy taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the candy blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does candy in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In San José we measured 4 to 12 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
