Candy 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Candy in San José: 16 units tested over 9 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Candy is allowed to say
Candy sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Candy prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.2 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 16 units, 30 ml shortfill, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a candy 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
A candy 30 ml shortfill from the best options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.2 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested candy in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Spare parts availability for 30 ml shortfill in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a candy bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where candy goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why candy tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
