Blackcurrant cartomizer IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Blackcurrant in San José: 18 units tested over 9 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a cartomizer for blackcurrant
Blackcurrant cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 18 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you are looking at blackcurrant in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
The short version: blackcurrant in San José works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a blackcurrant cartomizer really costs in San José
A blackcurrant cartomizer from the reviewed options in Costa Rica costs about ₡3.51 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested blackcurrant in a cartomizer
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every blackcurrant bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where blackcurrant goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised ₡37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.51 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
Why does blackcurrant taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the blackcurrant blend itself harsh.
