Berry starter kit IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Berry in San José: 24 units tested over 5 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Berry starter kit here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Berry starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 24 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a berry starter kit really costs in San José
Berry in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested berry in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every berry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a berry bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where berry goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why berry tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long berry in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for berry in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

How long does berry in a starter kit last?
In San José we measured 5 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.

Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
How much does a starter kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.19 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡32 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
