Berry pen device IQOS in San José: the budget shortlist
Berry in San José: 22 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with berry in Costa Rica
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Berry pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 22 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long berry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a berry pen device really costs in San José
A berry pen device from the budget options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.26 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested berry in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where berry goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why berry tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
