What a licorice squonk mod really costs in San José

How we tested licorice in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.

Frequently asked questions
Is licorice legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
How long does licorice in a squonk mod last?
In San José we measured 4 to 7 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
