Berry mesh tank IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Berry in San José: 24 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the berry habit
Berry sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long berry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a berry mesh tank really costs in San José
Berry mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 24 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested berry in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where berry goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a mesh tank and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why berry tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does berry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the berry blend itself harsh.
Is berry legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
How long does berry in a mesh tank last?
In San José we measured 9 to 24 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
