Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Apple sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.

The short version: apple in San José works if the sub-ohm kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a apple sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
How we tested apple in a sub-ohm kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a sub-ohm kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where apple goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long apple in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡31 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.57 per 10 ml.
- Mixing apple with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.

Frequently asked questions
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
How long does apple in a sub-ohm kit last?
In San José we measured 2 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
