Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Apple in San José reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.

What a apple pen device really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested apple in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every apple bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Batch code and production date, so a apple bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where apple goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡2.19 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡48 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is apple legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Why does apple taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the apple blend itself harsh.
