Vanilla starter kit IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Vanilla in San José: 15 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
If you are looking at vanilla in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Vanilla in San José reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, starter kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla starter kit really costs in San José
Vanilla starter kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested vanilla in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in San José survives.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for vanilla in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the starter kit units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
Is vanilla legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On vanilla the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.06 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
