Vanilla squonk mod IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Vanilla in San José: 7 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
A vanilla squonk mod from the bulk options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.94 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla squonk mod really costs in San José
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.94 per 10 ml.
How we tested vanilla in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
