Vanilla squonk mod IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Vanilla in San José: 24 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Vanilla in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long vanilla tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a vanilla squonk mod really costs in San José
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
How we tested vanilla in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.38 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
