Vanilla pod kit IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Vanilla in San José: 20 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What vanilla costs in San José
If you are looking at vanilla in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
We run vanilla the same way in San José: same pod kit, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a vanilla pod kit really costs in San José
Vanilla pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 20 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested vanilla in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a vanilla bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long vanilla in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does vanilla in a pod kit last?
In San José we measured 9 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
What nicotine strength should vanilla start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
