Vanilla mesh tank IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Vanilla in San José: 10 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Vanilla is allowed to say
Vanilla prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.97 per 10 ml.
The honest read on vanilla: 10 units through the same routine over 5 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: vanilla in San José works if the mesh tank, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a vanilla mesh tank really costs in San José
Vanilla mesh tank reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 10 units and 5 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested vanilla in a mesh tank
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every vanilla bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where vanilla goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why vanilla tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a mesh tank that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Mixing vanilla with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
Why does vanilla taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the mesh tank units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the vanilla blend itself harsh.
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
