Tropical 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Tropical in San José: 24 units tested over 2 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with tropical in Costa Rica
Tropical sounds like one product. It is not: a 30 ml shortfill running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Tropical in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The short version: tropical in San José works if the 30 ml shortfill, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
Tropical in San José reaches the shelf in 30 ml shortfill formats, and the online ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tropical in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest 30 ml shortfill available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
