Tobacco zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in San José: the best shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Tobacco in San José: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Tobacco zero-nicotine bottle here
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Tobacco in a zero-nicotine bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 12 units, zero-nicotine bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a tobacco zero-nicotine bottle really costs in San José
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.35 per 10 ml.
How we tested tobacco in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a zero-nicotine bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 12 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Ignoring the batch date on a zero-nicotine bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest zero-nicotine bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
