Tobacco vape pen IQOS in San José: the wholesale shortlist
Tobacco in San José: 21 units tested over 9 weeks, vape pen formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Tobacco vape pen here
If you are looking at tobacco in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the vape pen you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a vape pen running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the vape pen you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco vape pen really costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
How we tested tobacco in a vape pen
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Spare parts availability for vape pen in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long tobacco in San José survives.
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡1.96 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡68 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does tobacco taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the tobacco blend itself harsh.
