Tobacco sub-ohm kit IQOS in San José: the price shortlist
Tobacco in San José: 6 units tested over 8 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Tobacco is allowed to say
Tobacco in a sub-ohm kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the sub-ohm kit you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco sub-ohm kit really costs in San José
Tobacco sub-ohm kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 6 units and 8 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested tobacco in a sub-ohm kit
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 6 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Spare parts availability for sub-ohm kit in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
