Ordering IQOS to San José: the practical version
Tobacco in San José reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.04 per 10 ml.
How we tested tobacco in a nicotine salt bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.04 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Buying the cheapest nicotine salt bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
