Sweet zero-nicotine bottle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Sweet in San José: 15 units tested over 6 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
Sweet sounds like one product. It is not: a zero-nicotine bottle running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the zero-nicotine bottle you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet zero-nicotine bottle really costs in San José
The honest read on sweet: 15 units through the same routine over 6 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Stock depth: 15 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in San José survives.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a zero-nicotine bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a zero-nicotine bottle.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sweet the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.04 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
