Sweet refill pack IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Sweet in San José: 13 units tested over 9 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
Sweet in a refill pack is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: sweet in San José works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet refill pack really costs in San José
We run sweet the same way in San José: same refill pack, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sweet in a refill pack
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a refill pack that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡28 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.19 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
