Sweet pod kit IQOS in San José: the review shortlist
Sweet in San José: 17 units tested over 6 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
Sweet pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 6 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet pod kit really costs in San José
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.84 per 10 ml.
How we tested sweet in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sweet in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
