Sweet pen device IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Sweet in San José: 12 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Where buyers go wrong with sweet in Costa Rica
If you are looking at sweet in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Ordering into San José usually means waiting 4–9 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: sweet in San José works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet pen device really costs in San José
Sweet in San José reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested sweet in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised ₡35 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.11 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
