Sweet nicotine salt bottle IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist — Iqoscostarica
Sweet in San José: 14 units tested over 2 weeks, nicotine salt bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How to tell a good nicotine salt bottle from a repack
Sweet in San José reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the cheapest ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.06 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet nicotine salt bottle really costs in San José
The honest read on sweet: 14 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a nicotine salt bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the nicotine salt bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a nicotine salt bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sweet the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.06 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a nicotine salt bottle.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
