Sweet mesh tank IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Sweet in San José: 20 units tested over 5 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
A sweet mesh tank from the best options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.94 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Sweet sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet mesh tank really costs in San José
Sweet in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested sweet in a mesh tank
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does sweet in a mesh tank last?
In San José we measured 5 to 20 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is sweet legal to sell in Costa Rica?
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority.
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a mesh tank.
