Sweet cartomizer IQOS in San José: the guide shortlist
Sweet in San José: 21 units tested over 3 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a cartomizer for sweet
Sweet in San José reaches the shelf in cartomizer formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Sweet cartomizer reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 21 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 21 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sweet cartomizer really costs in San José
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡3.13 per 10 ml.
How we tested sweet in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Buying the cheapest cartomizer available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a cartomizer.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡3.13 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡43 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
