Sweet box mod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Sweet in San José: 19 units tested over 2 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
Sweet sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Sweet prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.61 per 10 ml.
The short version: sweet in San José works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sweet box mod really costs in San José
A sweet box mod from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.61 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in San José survives.
- Treating the advertised ₡58 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.61 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
