Sweet box mod IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Sweet in San José: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Choosing a box mod for sweet
Sweet sounds like one product. It is not: a box mod running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Most people searching IQOS in Costa Rica are not after a spec sheet. They want to know what it costs, how long it lasts and which shop will still service it in three months.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet box mod really costs in San José
Sweet box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 23 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sweet in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Treating the advertised ₡48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡3.58 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sweet the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡3.58 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in San José: about ₡3.58 per 10 ml liquid plus ₡48 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
