Sweet 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the online shortlist
Sweet in San José: 13 units tested over 4 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What sweet costs in San José
Sweet in a 30 ml shortfill is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José

How we tested sweet in a 30 ml shortfill
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a sweet bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡41 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.15 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sweet the budget price and the premium price can sit within ₡2.15 per 10 ml once 4–9 business days is counted.
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 30 ml shortfill.
