Sweet 10 ml bottle IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Sweet in San José: 17 units tested over 9 weeks, 10 ml bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
Sweet in a 10 ml bottle is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Sweet 10 ml bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 17 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, 10 ml bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sweet 10 ml bottle really costs in San José
A sweet 10 ml bottle from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.01 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a 10 ml bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for 10 ml bottle in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 10 ml bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sweet in San José survives.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a 10 ml bottle and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should sweet start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a 10 ml bottle.
How long does sweet in a 10 ml bottle last?
In San José we measured 9 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does sweet taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 10 ml bottle units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sweet blend itself harsh.
