Spiced pod kit IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Spiced in San José: 8 units tested over 3 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
How we tested Spiced pod kit here
Spiced in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In San José the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you are looking at spiced in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long spiced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a spiced pod kit really costs in San José
A spiced pod kit from the best options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.44 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested spiced in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised ₡56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.44 per 10 ml.
