Spiced pen device IQOS in San José: the order shortlist
Spiced in San José: 13 units tested over 8 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Delivery, returns and what 4–9 business days really means
If you are looking at spiced in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
A spiced pen device from the pre-order options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.36 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long spiced tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.

How we tested spiced in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡2.36 per 10 ml.
- Mixing spiced with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
How long does spiced in a pen device last?
In San José we measured 8 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
What nicotine strength should spiced start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
