Sourcherry starter kit IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Sourcherry in San José: 11 units tested over 2 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sourcherry habit
Sourcherry in San José reaches the shelf in starter kit formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
The honest read on sourcherry: 11 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry starter kit really costs in San José
If you are looking at sourcherry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sourcherry in a starter kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sourcherry bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Coil type inside the starter kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Treating the advertised ₡65 entry kit as the real cost when refills run ₡1.94 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sourcherry in San José survives.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked to 4–9 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
What nicotine strength should sourcherry start at?
Start at whatever Costa Rica allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a starter kit.
How long does sourcherry in a starter kit last?
In San José we measured 2 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
