Sourcherry pen device IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Sourcherry in San José: 20 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What sourcherry costs in San José
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
If you are looking at sourcherry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Below is the run we did for this search: 20 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sourcherry pen device really costs in San José
The honest read on sourcherry: 20 units through the same routine over 2 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sourcherry in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 4–9 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 20 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sourcherry tastes flat after two days.
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Costa Rica regulates nicotine imports under its health authority. Shipping of nicotine to Costa Rica runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
