Sourcherry box mod IQOS in San José: the best shortlist
Sourcherry in San José: 14 units tested over 6 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Sourcherry is allowed to say
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Costa Rica. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.34 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry box mod really costs in San José
If you are looking at sourcherry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the box mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sourcherry in a box mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Costa Rica, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 6 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a box mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Costa Rica accept nicotine freight.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for sourcherry in Costa Rica must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
