Sourcherry 30 ml shortfill IQOS in San José: the flat shortlist
Sourcherry in San José: 8 units tested over 5 weeks, 30 ml shortfill formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
What the label on Sourcherry is allowed to say
Sourcherry prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡1.79 per 10 ml.
If you are looking at sourcherry in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the 30 ml shortfill you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the 30 ml shortfill you buy decides how long sourcherry tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sourcherry 30 ml shortfill really costs in San José
A sourcherry 30 ml shortfill from the flat-rate options in Costa Rica costs about ₡1.79 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sourcherry in a 30 ml shortfill
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the 30 ml shortfill that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a sourcherry bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a 30 ml shortfill arrives sealed but wrong.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a 30 ml shortfill and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a 30 ml shortfill that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Costa Rica need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Costa Rica sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the 30 ml shortfill units we ran, a coil past 7 days turned the sourcherry blend itself harsh.
Can I order IQOS online in Costa Rica?
Yes, tracked dispatch before 14:00, and delivery lands in 4–9 business days. Stock is batch-traced, so the bottle you receive carries a dated code.
How long does sourcherry in a 30 ml shortfill last?
In San José we measured 5 to 8 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
