Sour squonk mod IQOS in San José: the cheap shortlist
Sour in San José: 9 units tested over 5 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Costa Rica.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
A sour squonk mod from the cheapest options in Costa Rica costs about ₡2.45 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In San José that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within ₡2.45 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour squonk mod really costs in San José
If you are looking at sour in Costa Rica, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested sour in a squonk mod
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 4–9 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Costa Rica.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Costa Rica, since tanks and pods go first.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Costa Rica, not a suggestion.
Where sour goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in San José survives.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Costa Rica stocks.
